Become a Community Champion for We’re Right Here

Moving into an election year that is dominated by ever tighter public budgets and overlapping environmental, healthcare and poverty crises, we need to ramp up our calls for community power. To do this we need to build on the work of our brilliant Community Leaders by involving more people from a diverse range of places and communities in the campaign. This is why we are now recruiting 10-12 ‘Community Champions’.

We want to build a powerful, passionate and committed team of advocates for community power. If that feels like you, or if you know anyone who is well placed to fill the role, please get in touch.

We’re looking for people who:

• Are passionate about the power of communities to drive their own change and share our frustration that it shouldn’t be so hard to do this kind of work.
• Have a story to tell about their efforts to work with and empower local people in their area.
• Can commit around 5-10 days a year to build support for the movement for community power, both in their own community and nationally with the support of the campaign team.

Champions’ time will be remunerated at a rate of £350 per day.
