Sign the Community Power Pledge
People should have the power to shape their places and communities should have the rights and tools they need to come together and take control of their own futures. Community power is essential to tackling problems like inequality, local decline, loneliness and mistrust.
Our campaign is building momentum for a Community Power Act, a transformative piece of legislation that would give local people the powers they need to shape the places where they live.
You can play a key role in driving forward the campaign by signing the Community Power Pledge, showing your backing for a Community Power Act which would:
- Establish three new community rights to take ownership of spaces, public services and investment
- Create Community Covenants to bring local people, organisations and local authorities together
- Establish a Community Power Commissioner to uphold new community rights
The more voices we have showing their support for community power, the better chance we have of achieving the transformative change our country needs and deserves.
